Siem Reap - PhnomPhen

Day1: Siem Reap – Arrival
Upon arrival and after clearing immigration and customs, be transferred by our local guide to hotel for check in. Siem Reap orientation, walking along the Siem Reap Riverside, and visit the Fruit-bat in front of the Residence of King.

Day2: Siem Reap –Ta Prohm – Grand Circuit
Early morning, we enjoy the Tuk Tuk to the jungle-covered temple of Ta Phrom and come back to hotel for breakfast at 07:30. One hour later, begin your temple exploration today at Angkor Wat Angkor Thom City by west gate. From the enigmatic faces of Bayon temple to the intricate bas reliefs of the Terrace of the Elephants, Angkor Thom is filled with fabulous monuments. Lunch is at local restaurant on your own account.
Afternoon, we visit Preah Khan. It means “Holy Sword” is one of the largest temple compounds in Angkor and is defended by four concentric walls. The main shrine and its adjoining buildings are richly decorated with Buddhist motifs and scenes from Hindu epics. We keep going to Preah Neak Pean to the Eastern Mebon and the various monuments like Ta Som, Preah Rup. Later afternoon, we back to hotel for relaxing.

Day3: Siem Reap – Khmer Village – Beng Melea – Siem Reap

Breakfast at hotel, visit to the ancient Khmer civilization site of Hariharalaya which flourished in the late 9th and earlier 10th centuries. These are the earliest temples in the Angkor area and are referred to the Rolous group. Lunch at local house with the villagers
After lunch we continue to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei and before back to hotel we visit Preah Khan temple. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulders-hanging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation.

Day4: Siem Reap – Floating Village

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel, you will take a break from visiting temples and enjoy a boat ride, in a traditional wooden boat, on the Tonle Sap. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a “floating village” – boats have been converted to look like houses and the “village” move from place to place following water levels. We continue to one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Chhas, all called the “Old Market”, where you can know more about the local life!

Day 5: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh
Transfer out for departure to Phnom Penh by flight, on arrival meets and transfers to hotel for check in.
No later, we will enjoy a tour to discover the city with:
Royal Palace is now home to the royal family therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred temple in the country and The National Museum.

Day 6:  Phnom Penh – City Tour – Sihanouk Ville
Breakfast is at hotel. The capital city of Phnom Penh was once considered the loveliest city of Indochina. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. A city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh. Visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek are not to be missed. A visit to these sights provides a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge. Afternoon, we will transfer to Sihanouk Ville ( no guide)
On arrival, check in hotel.

Day 8: Sihanouk Ville – Free day

Free day on the beach

Day 9: Sihanouk Ville – Phnom Penh – Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Phnom Penh for your flight home.
